  • do stranded knitting with at most two colors in the round

Pattern Description:

Not only for the Olympic games.. a cute two color downhill skiier is on this beanie together with mountains and trees and the (starting) hut in the background. The hills at the top form a lovely star, inside is a big gorgeous snowflake!
The two colored ribbing is accompanied by a nordic star border pattern.
As the beanie is knitted in two colors only it is also suitable for fair isle beginners.
You can use any 4-ply Acrylic or Merino or 4-ply sock yarn to knit it.

Nicht nur f1/4r die olympischen Spiele ... kleine Abfahrtslufer, mit Bergh1/4tte, Bergen und Bumen sind auf dieser M1/4tze zu finden. Die Berge formen auf der M1/4tzenspitze einen Stern ,dessen Mitte eine wunderschne Schneeflocke ziert.
Auf den zweifarbigen Bund folgt eine kleine Norwegerbord1/4re.
Da die M1/4tze durchgngig in zwei Farben gestrickt wird, ist sie auch f1/4r Anfnger des mehrfarbigen Strickens geeignet.
Ihr knnt 4-fach Acryl., Merinogarn oder Sockenwolle verwenden.

Knitting gauge in stranded pattern: 1 x 1 inch: 8 stitches and 9 rows

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This beanie fits about 52 " 55 cm head circumreference.
  • Note: For bigger heads you can also adjust the pattern by using needle size 3.25 mm or 3.5 mm or 5-ply yarn (e.g. Buttinette Madeleine Merino 50 g/150m) or both.


  • You need (4-ply Acrylic yarn e.g. Buttinette Versailles 214 yards/196 m per 50g or 4-ply sock orMerino yarn of similar weight):35 g in dark blue,35 g in white
  • Circular needle 40 cm 3.00 mm and 5 double pointed needles size 3.00 mm for the top of the head.

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle to weave in the ends.

Suggested yarn:

214 yards of Fingering weight
