Pattern Description:

This simple super chunky scarf is warm, stylish and quick to knit, making it a great last minute gift for men or women.

They are pretty easy to knit, you only need to know basic knit and purl stitches. The pattern includes a photo tutorial for the Fisherman's Rib pattern which is used.

Size: Approx. 50 inches (127 cm) in length and 6 inches (15.5 cm) in width (unstretched)
This size can be made with one skein of Patons Big Fab yarn but more would be needed for a larger scarf.


8 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in Stocking Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx. 50 inches (127 cm) in length and 6 inches (15.5 cm) in width (unstretched)


  • 200g/130yds super chunky / super bulky weight yarn
  • Knitting needles in size US 15 (10mm)
  • Tapestry needle

Suggested yarn:

130 yards of Bulky weight
