Pattern Description:

Not Just Another Feather & Fan Pattern!
Shimmy is a great scarf with hard turns and ribbons of eyelets in multiple colors, perfect wrapped once or twice, to keep away the winter chill. Shown in 5 colors, it would work beautifully in a solid, or multi-striped to use up odds & ends. With a bit of swatching and math you could vary the weight of the yarn to suit your stash and climate.
Sport Weight Yarn:
160 yards of color #1 & 110 yards each of 4 colors (#2-#5)
Gauge 5 stitches = 1 inch
US 6 (4mm) 40" or longer, a sharp tip is helpful with the pattern stitches.
One needle 2 sizes larger for binding off.
Finished dimensions are about 7 inches wide and 71 inches long.

  • 160 yards of color #1 & 110 yards each of 4 colors (#2-#5)

You Will Also Need:

  • Long circular needles in size to achieve gauge
