Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, basic 2 color fair isle,

Pattern Description:

Shifting Gears is worked with 2 different long striping yarns to create this stunning use of color. Featuring a beautiful scalloped loop cast on, 2x2 Fair Isle knitting, short rows, and an I-Cord bind off. Model is shown using Louisa Harding Amitola colors 113 (2 balls) and 114 (1 ball).

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 65" across, 13" in depth at middle

Materials:

  • When picking your 2 yarns, make sure the same colors are not in each ball or your design will become blurred). Main Color 100 grams LONG stripe fingering weight yarn Contrasting Color 100 grams LONG stripe fingering weight yarn. Suggestions: Amitola, Zauberballs, Chroma, Mini Mochi, Kauni

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 6 (4.mm) and Size 7 (4.5mm) 32" circulars
