Basic Skills Necessary:

  • basic knowledge of circular fair isle knitting and chart reading required

Gauge:

36 stitches and 38 rows = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch with colorwork.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished circumference when knit to gauge = 8", to fit the average adult female hand with zero ease.

Materials:

  • Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift 100% Shetland wool
  • 105m per 25g skein
  • Get 2 skeins in #259 "leprechaun" (of course!)
  • Get 2 skeins in #104 natural white

You Will Also Need:

  • set of 5 double-pointed needles in size 1 US / 2.5mm.
  • As an alternative to double-pointed needles, you can use one long (32" / 80cm or longer) circular needle with the "magic loop" technique, or two circular needles. Be certain to use whatever size gives you the correct gauge.
