Basic Skills Necessary:

  • use a cable needle
  • do a 3 needle bind off
  • do a kitchener stitch
  • use a circular knitting needle or double pointed needles

Pattern Description:

I needed to make a few quick items for Christmas presents and in New Jersey where the winters can be tricky, what better to give then a cowl. Many people don't want the length and bulkiness of a scarf and this is a great alternative.
This is a perfect item for a cable stitch beginner. It looks much more complicated than it is and it really knits up very quickly. Given as a gift, the recipient will think you spent much more time on this than you actually did.
