Pattern Description:

This infinity scarf or cowl in three sizes (S/M/L) features the stout ribbing and horizontal knit/purl motifs of a classic gansey sweater with a bit of a twistthe hem rib will flare into a short flirty ruffle. Easy-to-work motifs make this piece a good traveler or a great beginner project.
Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and drape.


24 sts and 34 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on smaller needles, knit flat (unblocked)

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 24(54, 63) inches in circumference and 8(9, 10) inches in depth


  • 300(600, 850) yards of any springy fingering yarn which has approximately 425 yards per 4 ounces.
  • Needles: size 4US (3.5 mm) or size to obtain correct gauge size 5US (3.75 mm) for hem ruffle (or .25 mm bigger than gauge needle)
