Pattern Description:

Dress up your boots with these simple cabled boot liners, perfect for skirts and jeans. Instructions included for tall, tapered and short, non-shaped boot liners to accommodate a variety of different heights of boots.

Tall Boot Liners: 370 (485, 607) yds / 339 (444, 555) m
Short Boot Liners: 216 (298) yds 198 (273) m
Yarn used: Swans Island Yarn Washable Wool Collection (100% washable merino wool; 140 yds
[128 m] per 50 g skein); 3 (4, 5) skeins in cumin for tall and 2 (3) skeins in sienna for short boot liners.


33 sts and 40 rnds = 4'' (10 cm) in cable pattern on larger needles, blocked and unstretched

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Tall Boot Liners: 12" / 30.5 cm tall by 11 (13 3/4", 17)" / 28 (35, 43) cm top circumference , unstretched
  • Short Boot Liners: 8" / 20.5 cm tall by 8 1/2 (11 3/4)" / 21.5 (30) cm top circumference, unstretched


  • US size 5 / 3.75 mm double pointed needles
  • US size 4 / 3.5 mm double pointed needles
