Pattern Description:

What inspired me to design this shawlette was the extraordinary colorway of Hawthorne yarn that I felt would show off the simple and quick 4 row lace stitch pattern that I had developed.

This is what KnitPicks has to say about the yarn, "Like wood smoke drifting over a pumpkin patch, the colors of Sauvie Island are homage to the bountiful farmland on the island. The blazing orange-red bursts forth before subsiding into mossy greens and dark grays".

A friend on seeing the shawlette had this to say " is like peering out the window of an aircraft and seeing a farmland below."
