Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Read US knitting pattern abbreviations.
  • Knit.
  • Special stitches include decreases and cables.

Pattern Description:

The cables on this beanie pattern are reminiscent of a sandstorm, and when combined with the orange yarn, remind me of Frank Herbert's Dune series.

This pattern was designed for the Knotty Knitters for Autism 2013 charity calendar.

The hat is knit in the round from the base of the ears to the crown.
