(6) Name: 'Knitting : Salt

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • lace

Pattern Description:

Salt is a quick to knit reversible lace cowl that only requires one skein of yarn. Made on large needles with bulky alpaca yarn, it's a cozy winter accessory that can be knit at the last minute when the weather turns cold. The pattern only includes written instructions.

This pattern uses exactly one skein with no yarn to spare. Some knitters may find that they need a second skein.


Gauge in Lace Pattern (one repeat): 15 sts x 20 rows = 7in x 6in

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 49in around by 6in deep


  • US15/10mm circular needles with 36in/92cm cables

Suggested yarn:

110 yards of Chunky weight
