Pattern Description:

This made-for-warm-weather hat is knit in the round from the brim up. The brim goes all the way around to protect baby's delicate skin from the sun and is encased in a knit rib. The pattern includes a traceable brim outline. Pattern is suitable for beginners! Knit the size close or larger than actual head circumference.

Gauge:

24 sts and 32 rows per 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Circumference: 13(14.5, 16, 17) inches
  • Size: 0-3 months(3-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years)

Materials:

  • 110(120, 130, 140) yards sport weight yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • Size 4(3.5mm) 16" circular needles and set of 5 DPNs, stitch marker
  • Notions: Template plastic, clear plastic canvas, or other suitable material for a sturdy and washable brim
