Running Hearts Scarf

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • yo, k2tog, ssk
  • Follow written or charted instructions

Pattern Description:

The inspiration for this scarf came from growing up in a Scandinavian/American household where the heart was used as a Christmas motif. I also remember this pattern from an ancient book of dish cloths. I thought it would work up wonderfully as a scarf.

The scarf is also perfect for St. Valentine's Day, or just when ever you want to feel the love.

The scarf, which has both a charted and written pattern, features a running hearts pattern up the center framed by eyelet along both sides with a garter stitch edge. It can be worn plain, or have a contrasting color woven through the eyelets.
