Pattern both written and charted. Great advancing beginner piece or last minute gift pattern for any skill level.
Overview:
Easy, Fast and fun to make. Knit in the round using a single hank of Super Chunky Malabrigo Rasta yarn (or other super bulky) on size US 17 (12.5mm)/ 16" (40cm) circular needle with only knits and purls in a simple repeating pattern that swirls up and around the cowl. Blocking not nescessary but you may do so.
Needs:
One hank of Malabrigo 'Rasta' Yarn (sample uses arco iris) 90 yds (82.3 meter) or similar wiehgt super bulky yarn.
Circular needles in US size 17 (12.5mm) /16"(40cm) long
one stitch marker (end of round = EORM)
darning needle to sew ends
Gauge: not critical but aprox 2.25 stitches per inch/ 9 stiches = 4 inches (10cm)
Finished (unblocked/as knit) Measurements: 10" (25.4cm) by 24" (60.9cm) around
aprox 9 stitches = 4 inches

When/How did I get started?
I cannot remember, LOL it seems I have always been making something' craftsy' from the time I was allowed to handle some popsicle sticks and glue-- waaay back when!
