Pattern Description:

This cowl was designed for a beginners colourwork class which makes it an idea introduction to stranded colorwork.

With folded hems on each end and a simple, easily learned stitch pattern this really is an ideal first stranded colourwork project.


19 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stranded colourwork

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • One size, Neck circumference: 20.25"/51.5cm Height: 4.75"/ 12cm tall.


  • Studio Donegal 'Aran Tweed' (100% Wool; 88yds/80m per 50g skein); MC: Teal (4847); 2 skeins CC: Banana (4897); 1 skein
  • US 7 - 4.5 mm 16" circular needle
