Short of a present and little time to make one? These are quick to make and if you have the materials to hand you can make them quicker than it takes to go shopping for a present! Instructions are provided for the beaded version and the plain version. The beaded version uses Rowan RYC Baby Alpaca DK which is so soft to the touch. Any double knit yarn would work. I used Louisa Harding Fauve in the plain version (no beads) and have also used Cascade 220 which is a worsted yarn and gave such a substantial fabric that it did not need lining. You will need a sew-on purse frame, approx 8cm wide and 4cm deep. These patterns also feature in my ebook 'Precious purses, beaded bags' also available here on Craftsy.

Like many I took a couple of decades off my knitting and crochet whilst my working life took over, but now I am catching up. I always have a hook or pair of needles close by; my fingers do not like to rest. After reacquainting myself with my old hobbies, I progresed to creating my own designs. It seemed a natural progression for me, as did running crochet workshops in the NW of England.
Those who have tried my designs will know that I love creating simple designs that look very effective, after all life doesn't need to be complicated! And I understand that many people like a bit of television or music knitting/crochet, so the easier they are the better it is to enjoy the world around you whilst enjoying your craft.
