Pattern Description:

Worked from the cuff down, Ribbed Faux Cable Socks feature alternating ribbed faux cables which create a snug but comfortable fit.

While the pattern comes in one size, women's medium, the length of the leg, heel flap and foot length are all easily adjustable.

There are written instructions and charts given for the ribbed faux cable pattern.

The socks are knit in the round from the cuff down with a traditional style heel flap, gusset and wedge toe.

The pattern is written using British knitting terms, any American knitting terms that are different are also supplied.


8 stitches and 11 rows to 1 inch in stockinette (stocking) stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • women's medium - Foot circumference slightly stretched 19cm (7 1/2")


  • 100g Fingering (4ply) yarn
  • US # 1 1/2 (2.50mm) set of double pointed needles or 2 x circular needles
