Pattern Description:

Return of the Swallow is an original sideways shawl worked in stockinette stitch and adorned by a pretty lace edging. The unusual increase rate creates a long asymmetrical triangle with diagonal lines, giving a classic construction just the right amount of zest. The overall effect is feminine and flirty for a fast and rewarding project.

Gauge:

22 sts over 38 rows blocked in stockinette stitch over 4 inches square
*Gauge is not critical but will affect the final size of your shawl

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 50" long X 12" wide

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (fingering weight, 100% superwash merino, 420 yds per 100 gr skein)

You Will Also Need:

  • Needle: US 5 (3.75 mm) circular 29" or longer
  • 1 stitch marker
  • Tapestry needle

420 yards of Fingering weight
