Reproduction of Antique Purse

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Know how tho knit the bascis, The garter stitch, Cast on and Bind off.

Pattern Description:

In 1982, I bought a jar of beads and found the remnants of an antique purse in the jar. 12 years ago, I decided to try and remake this purse. I tried different types of thread and beads. Finally after many trials, I found the right combination. I am a lover of the Victorian Era. I would like to share this purse with other people like me. Or other people who would like to own or make an antique purse from this era. If you love to knit, this is a one of a kind piece of artwork, It is also a purse you can use. When using the Czech glass beads, there is a soft silky feeling of the purse.
The amount of time it took me to complete this purse was approximately 50 hours.
