Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit

Pattern Description:

This scarf is both fun to knit and wear!

Sections of easy lace are framed with sections of easy runching. "Renda Scarf" is long enough to wrap anyway you want, without being overly long.

Using sport weight yarn on larger needles means this project not only knits up quickly, it's also light weight. The sample was knit with "Renew Wool" by Universal Yarns - a lofty blend of virgin & re-purposed wool.

Modeled photos are by Shane Baskin / Blackbox Studios.

15 1/2 sts and 29 rows = 4 inches in Runching pattern, blocked & slightly stretched.
22 sts and 26 rows = 4 inches in Lace pattern, blocked.
While gauge is important, this project will still be successful if your gauge is slightly different. You may require more or less yarn though.
