  • k2tog, ssk, yo, ssk2p, p2tog

Pattern Description:

"Red Sky at Night ... sailors' delight" and your delight also to knit and wear this poncho.

This cozy capelet in a gorgeous colorway is knit in the round from the neck down, with hidden increases that allow for extra pattern inserts. The poncho is finished with a coordinating diagonal border that is knitted on while binding-off the live sts.

24sts x 32 rnds = 4" in stockinette in the round

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • blocked: 22" neck, 20" length, 64" hem circ


  • approx 425 yds of fingering weight (sample used one skein of Cascade Heritage's Handpainted Sock Yarn -- 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon)
