Pattern Description:

Do you like to knit outside the box? So do I. In fact, I'm always on the hunt for interesting or unusual stitch patterns, and the classic herringbone stitch really fits the bill. Be prepared to break some of the fundamental rules of knitting while making this matching hat and cowl set.

Gauge:

30 stitches and 21 rows = 4 inches in Pattern Stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Cowl Circumference - 18"/ 46cm, with 1" overlap; Hat Circumference - 21 (23 1/4)"/53 (59) cm

Materials:

  • US 8 - 5.0 mm Straight needles
  • US 4 - 3.5 mm Straight needles
  • US 4 - 3.5 mm Set of 5 circular needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Waste yarn
  • 4 Size 5/8" buttons

Suggested yarn:

500 yards of Fingering weight
