  • Knit
  • Purl
  • Slip stitches
  • Pass slipped stitches over
  • Make multiple yarn overs
  • Work into the stitch below
  • Pick up and knit
  • Slip multiple stitches at the same time

I was inspired by the child's poem, Mary, Mary, quite contrary. The lacy stitch used in this pattern is called Cockleshells, and creates a fabric that is perfect for spring or summer wear.
