Pattern Description:
Make these baby socks quick-as-a-wink by knitting a small amount of lace edging and attaching to ready-made baby socks. It's a nice hand-made touch with a small amount of time and materials invested.
Gauge:
One repeat of lace edging measures 114" at the widest point (10 sts) and 34" long (6 rows). Although I mention these gauge measurements, they really aren't critical. If your lace looks nice, then it is ok!
Materials:
- Size 10 crochet thread - about 10 yards for newborn; slightly more for larger sizes
- Size US 2 (2.75mm) knitting needles
You Will Also Need:
- One pair of ready-made baby socks
- Tapestry needle, size 20 or appropriate size for crochet thread
- Sewing needle and regular sewing thread to match color of either the crochet thread and/or socks
