Pattern Description:

I have admired the lovely crocheted crowns on babies and I wanted to be able to make them as well. So I sat and after much trial and error I finally came up with this design.

Changes made to pattern on 2/5/2013 for a more frilly ruffle (the way the photo depicts the ruffle, I finally found my chicken scratch notes from the original pattern as I made it).

Gauge:

5 sts and 7 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Crown 12", 14", 16"
  • Skirt 12", 14", 16

Materials:

  • 1 skein of Vanna's Choice will be enough to make 1 crown and 1 skirt in all 3 sizes

You Will Also Need:

  • DPNs in same size as circular needle - US 8
  • US 8 Circular
  • US 7 Circular

Suggested yarn:

170 yards of Worsted weight
