Pattern Description:

Inspiration for Pfeiffer Falls came when I was thinking about what my mother would have wanted to keep her warm when she was ill. The result is a classic, but modern multi-functional scarf with a large billowy, rounded hood. Two large, deep pockets add style and offer a great place to store a few trinkets, and keep your hands warm in chilly weather as well.

Pfeiffer Falls comes in 3 sizes, includes instructions for optional ruffles that flank the scarf ends and along the hood rim.

Pfeiffer Falls was originally published in Interweave Knits, Winter 2008. This was my #1 selling pattern for a long time. It's still a very popular pattern at #2. (In case you're curious, my current #1 seller is Weekend Shawl -

(Samples shown worked in size average. Rust-colored one uses Mission Falls 1824 Wool (100% merino superwash; 85 yds/ 50 g), color: russet; 13 balls. The fuschia one is worked with optional ruffles, using Zitron Loft (100% merino, 109 yds/ 50 g), color: 1222-fuschia; 10 balls)
