Pattern Description:

These adorable quick-to-knit stocking-socks are cozy and not as easy to kick off as regular booties.

The pattern includes **3 variations** for the pattern on the front of the socks and uses short-row shaping for the kneepad and heel. The garter stitch kneepad provides some extra cushioning for those speedy crawlers! The yarn is a wonderfully soft acrylic that is machine washable (and dryable if required).

Both written instructions and charts for the front pattern stitches are included.

Knit top down, in the round, on double-pointed needles. The toe may be grafted (Kitchener stitch) or finished with a 3-needle bind-off.


25 sts and 32 rows over 4" / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 0 - 3 (3 - 6) months foot length 3.5 (4.5) in / 9 (11.5) cm


  • YARN Each pair requires: 198 yds / 180 m Bernat Softee Baby (100% acrylic; 395yds / 361m per 5oz ball); pictured in Prettiest Pink, Lemon and Pale Blue
  • NEEDLES 3.25 mm / US3 set of 4 DPN or size required to obtain gauge
