Pattern Description:

Mate plane geometry with subtle elegance, and the result is this lovely gift-sized project, ideal for knitters on the go. This bag provides a perfect use for rare skeins of exotic yarn or a perfect frame to highlight one fabulous button. The bag is knit as a continuous strip of equilateral triangles, trimmed with an l-cord strap and button loop.

Gauge:

For a durable purse, choose needles smaller in
size than would be usual for Stocking stitch in your chosen yarn.

Materials:

Any type and weight of yarn will work well for this project, smooth yarns will show off the details best.
For a 5" purse with 2.5" opening, allow 80m/88yds of Aran/Worsted weight (approximately 50g) on 5mm (US #6) needles. For a 3" purse with 1.5" opening, allow 64m/70yds of Fingering weight (approximately 20g) on 2.25mm (US#1) needles.
