This lightweight scarf features a beautiful lace pattern reminiscent of cottage rooftops; it reminds me of home. The scarf would be an ideal beginner's lace project as there is no shaping and the lace pattern becomes quite intuitive after a few repeats. It's also interesting enough for a confident lace knitter (good TV knitting!)
The scarf is knitted at quite a loose gauge so it grows when blocked and has an elegant drape. It can be worn as a scarf or across the shoulders as a narrow stole.
The No Place Like Home Scarf measures 190cm x 27cm when blocked. It would be easy to adapt this pattern for a larger wrap by adding additional pattern repeats.
