Pattern Description:

A button-up toasty cowl that can be worn several different ways. Just a relaxed, laid back little design.

Named "Nicolet," for the region of National Forest in Northern Wisconsin, where life just seems to move a little more slowly.

You are sure to find this pattern rhythmic and relaxing and the end result is a luxuriously soft and squishy piece to wear however you choose.

Be sure to choose the suggested yarn or something with very similar characteristics for the proper drape and wear-against-the-skin softness.


15 sts and 21 rows=4 inches in stockinette st.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • finished garment measures 19-10" in length after blocking


  • 120-150 yards (110-137m) bulky yarn such as Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Grande
  • US 10.5 (6.5mm) needles for knitting flat
  • a cable needle

Suggested yarn:

150 yards of Bulky weight
