Mt. Bachelor is named as such because it stands apart from the group of mountains known as the Three Sisters in Central Oregon. Hence, the one large cable and three small ones in this pattern. Bachelor is also a popular ski destination, referenced here in the repeating diamond (as in black diamond like the ski slope difficulty rating) motif, as well as in bobbles reminiscent of snow.
