Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Basic knitting skills

Pattern Description:

This pattern is very easy to customize. Any weight of yarn paired with appropriately sized needles will do. Just remember that you will need more yardage for heavier weight yarns.


19 sts and 40 rows = 4" [10 cm] in
stockinette after blocking.

Gauge is not critical, but note that changes in gauge will result in different yarn req'ts.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 50" wide and 11.5" [127 x 29 cm] deep in the center, after blocking.


  • US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles, 24" or 32"; or size required to obtain gauge
  • Filatura Di Crosa, Nirvana (371 yds/340 m, 0.88oz/25g skein) MC #35 Charcoal, 1 skein (or 150 yds/137 m) CC #6 Cantaloupe, 1 skein (or 300 yds/274 m)

You Will Also Need:

  • Yarn needle, pins or wires for blocking

Suggested yarn:

450 yards of Lace weight
