Pattern Description:

To date, this is my most popular pattern - I have turned down numerous offers to knit them for people. The winding cable pattern on the cowl reminded me of the morning glories crawling and winding up the fence everywhere in my yard. It's beautiful simply as a cowl, but with the addition of a hood, you can enjoy this as a "hat" of sorts too - one really warm garment for both neck and head that won't bunch in your coat or give you hat hair! With larger needles and some very basic cable and lace knitting skills, this is a quick, easy pattern to knit - stockinette stitch is used for shaping, style and simplicity. However, this pattern also involves a provisional cast?on, picking up stitches and more advanced grafting techniques. For those not yet familiar, I have also included links to online tutorials for
techniques used in this pattern.
