Have you ever done Mock Ribbed Cables? These small narrow cables are made without the use of a cable needle. Mocktail has a 5" panel that showcases these fun twisting cables. The rest of the hat is stockinette (all knit) with a few rows of twisted stockinette (ktbl), adding little texture. The pattern offers two different versions - Classic Beanie or Slouchy Hat. It is sized for both Adults and Children.
Consider using a lovely hand painted mostly solid wool/wool blend yarn for this project. The pattern will accentuate the colors nicely.
One recent endorsement from happy receipient says:
" He has only removed the mocktail beanie for washing purposes since it came off my needles....a firm favourite!"
22 stitches/28 rows = 4" (10cm) stockinette
150 yards of Worsted weight
I am a MOM & GRANDMA who absolutely loves to knit. They say you should do what you love to do and for me that is KNITTING.
I spend much of my time exploring new pattern ideas, experimenting with new yarns, & sharing my ideas & creations with those who share in my love of knitting.
