This pattern began with a request from my daughter, Megan. She saw a scarf on a mannequin in the window of Anthropology in Manhattan. Knowing my love of knitting, she sent a photo taken with her cell phone camera with the text, "Can you make me one of these? Please?" I had not come across a pattern quite like it, so I decided to create one. The challenge was on. Here it is! I hope you enjoy knitting your own creation. The samples pictures are made from woolen yarns and knit up thick and warm. This pattern can be easily made from different weights and fibers. Knit in linen on smaller needles, it would make a lovely delicate accessory for spring and summer.
Gauge is not important.
