When I discovered the Jade Sapphire Moonlight yarn, which is made of combed mink and cashmere, I decided that it would be the perfect yarn for a cowl. This is the perfect gift for friends and family members that complain of scratchy scarves and cowls! The mink is a short fiber and adds a casual look to the yarn because of the variation in thickness, but the brocade lace pattern still shows beautifully. This pattern is for an extra long cowl that can be wrapped twice or worn over the head.
This design has a small amount of detail on the return rows and is easy to memorize. The pattern includes a chart for the brocade detail and full written instructions.
