About the designer

My nana taught me to knit when I was 6 yrs old. I have since picked up and put down the needles a lot. I think I now have a firm grasp of them permanently. Lets say I'm hooked.

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knit

  • yarn over

Pattern Description:

My partner, Terry, was watching a film called Burke & Hare and a character called Helen McDougal (played by Isla Fisher) was wearing a pair of green gloves with red edging and red bows. She wore them very briefly and I never actually saw them. Terry told me I should make "green fingerless gloves with red ends and red bows" So these gloves were born. I named them McDougal mits after the character who wore them.

This pattern is written in the round and flat meaning you can choose which way you would like to do them. If you do not feel confident enough in your ability to knit them in the round, you can do the flat version.
