Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?
Skill Level: Easy
Craft: Knitting
Inspired by the tam worn by Mary Lennox in the 1993 movie of "The Secret Garden", this easy-knit hat looks stunning on children and adults alike.
Made in a bulky-weight yarn, it knits up quickly, and makes a great gift.
Sized for heads from 16" around (Small) to 23" around (Large).
TAKE TIME TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE!! I knit tightly, so you may need to adjust your tension or needle size to match.
Note: For the medium size, you may need to undo your gauge swatch to finish the hat. If you would rather not, buy two balls for that size, as well.
15.5 sts and 22 rws = 4" over stockinette stitches with larger needles

I have been "crafting" ever since I was little, with plenty of help from two very artistic grandmothers and a mom who taught me to sew at the age of nine. I haven't looked back, and now I sew, knit, (and design in both mediums), crochet (although it's not my favourite), scrapbook, paint, and cook! (Cooking can be a craft, right?)
