Pattern Description:

Maevh is a classic-looking cowl. Its subtle and sophisticated lace pattern creates a timeless and elegant feel, making this piece a wonderful detail to add to a winter or fall outfit.

At the same time the pattern is easy to memorize and will allow your thoughts to travel while knitting.

Maevh is worked with a provisional cast-on and is then knitted flat until both ends of the piece are finally grafted together. This is done using the kitchener stitch which is exlained in detail in the instructions.

Gauge:

14 sts and 19 rows = 2 x 2 inches [5 x 5cm] in stockinette, after blocking
1 pattern repeat = 8.5 inches x 2.5 inches [22cm x 6cm]

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 43 inches [110cm] x 8 inches [20cm] before grafting

Materials:

  • 3,5mm (US 4) circular needle
  • crochet hook

  • a piece of wasteyarn in a contrasting color
