A mix of elegance and practicality, the Madeline Shawl mixes the warmth of garter stitch with the sparkle of beaded lace. This pattern comes in 2 sizes, and includes both charted and written instructions.


20 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch unblocked


  • 400 - 600 yards DK weight yarn
  • Size US 7 / 4.5 mm needles
  • 176 (320) size 5/0 or 6/0 seed beads
  • Beading needle, sometimes called a Big Eye Needle, for stringing beads onto yarn
  • 1 stitch marker
  • tapestry needle for weaving in ends
