Lucky Horseshoe Cabled Headband Pattern

Pattern Description:
I wanted a nice wide headband that was big enough to fit my large head. All the ones in the stores pop off!! If I make one on circlar needles, inevitably it is too small. I set this up on straight needles so that I could just continue knitting until it was the right length! This way it can be made for man, women or child of all head sizes. The cable pattern is a horseshoe which is one of my favorite cable patterns.
Gauge:
approximately 4 stitches to the inch. Gauge is not very important in this project.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Approximately 21 inches long and 4.5 inches wide
Materials:
- Size 5.5 or 6.0 mm straight needles (US size 9 or 10)
- Cable needle
- 50 grams of bulky weight wool
