Love Potion No. 4
A Shawl for him or her
The longing she feels for him is growing in intensity. Wishing he could climb on the wings of a bird and fly home to her.
Whether your shawl will be an eagle, a red-winged black bird, or an Amazonian parrot depends on the color combination you choose. Let your creativity be the guide when choosing your colors.
Materials
Yarn: Madeline Tosh Merino Light, 100% merino wool, 100g, 420 yards. His version was knit using 5 colors
MC - Onyx, 50g CC1 - Denim, 25g
CC2 - Tart, 25g
CC3 - Rain Water, 25g
CC4 - Stovepipe, 40g
Gauge: 18 sts and 52 rows = 4" (10cm) in Garter stitch.
Needles: Two sets of circular needles #5 US/3.75mm, 32" length. Crochet hook size C/2 - 2.75mm (optional)
Misc: Stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle, blocking wire (optional), plenty of rust proof pins for blocking.
Size: 59" (150cm) Wide, 22" (56cm) Deep.

Gauge:

18 sts by 52 rows in Garter Stitch
