Love Potion No. 3
A Shawlette for him or her
Sitting on the edge of a cliff, he stares across the endless waves longing for her caress. The shawlette draped around his neck was made by her and reminds him that she too is longing for his touch.
Your choice of color will determine how feminine or masculine the shawl will be. As in Love Potion No. 2, this shawl features some lace for her, yet maintains a structure that is not too frilly for him. The use of short rows create an edge reminiscent of the ocean waves that separate them.

Like so many, I learned to knit as a young girl but never on a regular basis. Then in 2007, a devastating illness left me unable to speak or walk more than a few steps due to lost muscle control. Confined to a chair day-in and day-out with nothing but my computer, I decided to reach out to people over the Internet for interaction and entertainment. This led to new interests, and for a time I enjoyed drawing in pencil. In 2010 I returned to knitting which now consumes most of my time. More recently, I started designing knitwear which fills my days with purpose and joy. Now, six years after the start of my illness, I am able to speak, although my pitch is very squeaky, and partial recovery of muscle control allows me to walk again.
