Beginner
This modular bag, inspired by the classic log cabin quilt pattern, is knit in strips of garter stitch which grow from the center "hearth" of the pattern. The finished pieces are joined with crochet, and then felted. Suitable for beginners, since only one color is knit with at a time, and the felting forgives any slight "design improvisations".
14-16 stitches to 4 inches in garter stitch
