Inspired by my years of living in Savannah, Georgia, these top-down socks use a leafy lace pattern, traditional heel, and garter stitch details to evoke the beauty of the Live Oak-lined streets of one of my favorite Southern cities. Dragonfly Fiber's richly colored "Spanish Moss" colorway makes a beautiful compliment to the textured lace pattern. Continuing from the leg, the lace pattern sweeps in mirror-image panels across each instep.
Lace is charted only. Work socks with your preferred tubular knitting technique: Magic Loop, 2 Circulars, or DPN.

I love combining texture and color, the thrill of a curve or angle falling right into place, and love sharing the resulting patterns.
