Pattern Description:

I am a preemie. When I turned 30 a few years ago, I undertook a project to knit 30 preemie hats by my birthday. These hats are quick and addictive to knit. This is my way to say thank you.

The hat begins with a variation of Judy's Magic Cast-On and ends with Jeny's Super Stretchy Bind-Off.

Preemies' heads come in many sizes and the hope is that they grow! Negative ease is helpful so the hat will stay on.

A preemie's head is generally about 10-12 inches in circumference with 4-4.5 inches from the crown to the edge of the hat.
