Pattern Description:
I wanted to design a hat that that would get the...... "oooh.....so cute" reaction from people. It worked. This is my little girl wearing her 'little petal' slouchy and nearly everybody says they love the hat!
Gauge:
5cms/ 2 inches = 8 1/2 sts
5cms / 2 inches = 12 rows
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- newborn, 3-12 months, 1-3 years, 4-11 years, adult
Materials:
- You will need between 35gms and 75gms of Worsted weight (Aran) wool depending on the size you are knitting. A small amount of Worsted weight (Aran in other colours for the flower/s.
You Will Also Need:
- A pair of 4 1/2mm (US#7) straight needles, and a pair of 5 1/2mm (US#9) straight needles. A darning (tapestry) needle.

I left school and studied at art school for 6 years. I spent my first two years experimenting with many arts and crafts. I finally chose textiles and spent a further 4 years studying knitwear design. I so loved my time at art school and I have had a wonderful career as a knitwear designer for the last 20 years. Once you've got the bug it stays with you for life!.
