This jewel of a scarf has a beautiful shaped edge, undulating about the hexagonally clustered diamond shapes that appear to be linked together. For added glamour, incorporate glass beads as I did, or omit them if you prefer.
Links of Diamonds is part of the HeartStrings design series "It's an Upside-Down World: directional stitches in lace". Lovers of scarves where both ends match will delight in the attention to design and technical details of this scarf.
"Fool the eye" horizontal symmetry allows this scarf to be knit from end to end in one piece. Particular attention is also given to the cast on, bind off, and treatment of edge stitches to achieve the look of a continuous chain edging all around.
21 stitches and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in lace stitch pattern after light blocking
