Basic Skills Necessary:

  • purl two together
  • yarn over
  • knitting in the round

Pattern Description:

This hat is knit bottom up, incorporating a classic lace stitch pattern.

The size made can fit small to medium-sized heads. However, a slight increase in the gauge will create a hat that can possibly fit bigger-sized heads.

Materials used:
16-inch Circular needles
DPNs (for the decrease rounds)
Tapestry needle

Because of the details of the stitch pattern, it is recommended that you use a solid-color yarn, or any yarn that can accentuate the lace-y stitch design. :)


5.5 sts x 5 rows = 1 inch in stockinette stitch


  • 3.75 mm circular knitting needles

You Will Also Need:

  • Tapestry needle

Suggested yarn:

130 meters of DK weight

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Any solid-colored yarn that gets the gauge
