Pattern Description:

This cute Bib and Washcloth set features the letter A. It will make a wonderful gift for any baby or young child whose name begins with the letter A. The A is knitted working from a graph.

My Bib and Washcloth set has been worked in 8ply yarn but this pattern can easily be adapted to suit other yarns.

22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Bib width: 16cm [61/4 inches].
  • Bib length (approx, excluding strap): 18cm [7 inches].
  • Washcloth width: 22cm [83/4 inches].
  • Washcloth length (approx): 22cm [83/4 inches].


  • Yarn required: Creative Basics Esther 8ply, 100g balls@220m.
  • 1 ball 1st Colour (C1).
  • 1 ball 2nd Colour (C2).
  • Note: 1 ball of each colour is enough to make two complete sets.
  • Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm (UK 8, US 6) knitting needles.
  • Wool needle for sewing in ends.

You Will Also Need:

  • A button for Bib.
